Woodlands is a community in the South West quadrant of the city of Calgary.
The community was developed in the early 1980's and consists mainly of single family homes with sometownhouses.
Great location as it borders Fish Creek Park to the south. It is one of Canada's largest urban parks. Boundaries to the west is the T'suu Tina Nation Land and to the east is the Bow River.
So many things to enjoy at Fish Creek Park. There is simply so much beauty and tranquility and all so close to and/or connected to so many communities.
There is the Sikome Aquatic Facility, which is a man made lake opened from June to September of each year.
There are picnic sites and lots of pathways and trails to enjoy.
As well, you can find the Bow Valley Ranch Visitors Centre and the Fish Creek Environmental Learning Centre.
Good bus service to the LRT (Light Rail Transit) and access to downtown is Anderson Road SW to 14th Street SW.
Shopping in the neighbouring communities. However, both the Chinook Centre and South Centre malls are a short drive away.
Schools can be found in the area and in the neighbouring communities.
