West Hillhurst is a community in the North West section of the city of Calgary.
The development in the area started in the mid 1940's. Today there is an interesting mixture of older well kept homes and infills that have replaced some of the older homes.
Lots of natural beauty in this community. It is just north of the Bow River where many families enjoy biking, jogging or walking their dogs.
Excellent location as it borders major routes such as 16th Avenue NW (Highway One) to the north of the community, to the south it borders Memorial Drive NW, to the west it borders Crowchild Trail and to the east 14th Street NW.
This location makes it easy to escape to the mountains, or provides a few quick routes to downtown.
There is an LRT (Light Rail Transit) station at the northern edge of the community close to 16th Avenue NW (Highway One).
In close proximity to the University of Calgary as well as SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology).
