Walden is a community in the South East quadrant of the city of Calgary.
The community development began in the early 2000's is continuing.
The community consists both of single family homes with some multi family residences.
There are parks and playgrounds to be enjoyed, and Fish Creek Park is the neighbour to the east of the community.
Fish Creek Park is one of Canada's largest urban parks. Boundaries to the west is the T'suu Tina Nation Land and to the east is the Bow River.
So many things to enjoy at Fish Creek Park. There is simply so much beauty and tranquility and all so close to and/or connected to so many communities.
There is the Sikome Aquatic Facility, which is a man made lake opened from June to September of each year.
There are picnic sites and lots of pathways and trails to enjoy.
As well, you can find the Bow Valley Ranch Visitors Centre and the Fish Creek Environmental Learning Centre.
Located south of highway 22X (Marquis of Lorne Trail) on the west side of Deerfoot Trail.
Neighbourhood ideally situated with the new south hospital close by, located at Seton Boulevard, in between Deerfoot Trail and 52nd Street SE.
Walden is on the east side of MacLeod Trail which provides access to downtown.
