Tom Campbell's Hill Park is close to the Calgary Zoo at St. George's Drive and 12th Street N.E., neighbouring the community of Bridgeland.
This Park can be found by following Memorial Trail, exiting at the Calgary Zoo/St. George's Drive sign.
The Park, as the name suggests, is hilly with a beautiful tree line walking path. The top of the Hill provides a nice gentle breeze. There are also hiking trails within this 18 hectares park.
Spectacular views of downtown, including the Calgary Tower, and the Saddledome.
Definitely worth the hike to this park, if not for the views alone. There are a number of benches that allow you to sit down and enjoy the sights. Also nice to see quite a few "doggy" bins along the pathway.
The Hill has an interesting History from the 1900's as it changed from Tom Campbell's Hats, to grazing land for livestock and then as an extension to the Calgary Zoo.
