Want to know more about this Community?
Southview is a community in the South East quadrant of the city of Calgary.
Development started in this area in the early 1950's, and consists mainly of single family homes.
Nestled high on a ridge overlooking a green space enjoyed by many, gives this area beautiful views of downtown, and the mountains.
It is situated on the south side of 17th Avenue, also known as International Avenue, due to the diverse ethnicity of the shops and restaurants along this stretch of this avenue.
Along this route you can find restaurants or coffee shops with Vietnamese, African, Latino, Greek, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours.
Located just east of the Deerfoot provides this community with quick access to downtown, the airport and to the mountains in Banff.
Shopping can obviously be found on 17th Avenue SE./International Avenue, but Marlborough Mall, is located just northeast of the community.
Schools can be found in the neighbouring communities.
