Signal Hill is a community in the South West part of Calgary. The huge numbers etched in white stones against the side of the hill is definitely a recognizable feature of this community. These numbers were originally placed on the hill during training in the first world war.
The community was developed in the mid 1980's and consists mainly of single family homes.
There are spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains from many areas in the community, particularly from the top of the stair case near the "numbers".
Signature Park, the neighbour to the north is where the LRT (Light Rail Transit) can be found.
Access to downtown via Richmond Road to Crowchild Trail. Easy access to the Rocky Mountains via Sarcee Trail to Highway one.
The north west section of this community houses the Westside Recreation Centre, where arenas, swimming and a fitness centre can be found.
Shopping in the community can be found at either the West Hills or Signal Hills Centre.
