Royal Oak is a community in the North West section of Calgary, bordering Rocky Ridge which is the most western neighbourhood in the city's north.
It is conveniently located just off of Crowchild Trail just North of Stoney Trail.
Many homes enjoy mountain views, as do many of the outdoor green spaces.
There are bike paths and many playground areas to be enjoyed in the community.
The development of the community stated in the late 1990's and consists mainly of two story single family homes with some town homes and condos.
The LRT (Light Rail Transit) is located at Crowchild Trail just north of Nose Hill Drive. There is convenient bus service to this station.
Acess to downtown is via Crowchild Trail.
Shopping is easily accessible at the Royal Oak Shopping Centre conveniently located in the community at Country Hills Boulevard and 85th Street NW.
Schools are conveniently located in the community as well as the neighbouring communities.
