Penbrooke Meadows is a community in the South East quadrant of the city of Calgary.
Development of the area started in the late 1960's and consists of single family homes, town homes, condos and an area where there is a Trailer Park.
It is situated on the north side of 17th Avenue, also known as International Avenue, due to the diverse ethnicity of the shops and restaurants along this stretch of the avenue.
Along this route you can find restaurants or coffee shops with Vietnamese, African, Latino, Greek, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours.
Located just north of the popular Elliston Regional Park. This area is much enjoyed be it for the lake or the relaxing beauty that it offers and of course the recreational activities.
Shopping can obviously be found on 17th Avenue SE./International Avenue, but Marlborough Mall, is located just northeast of the community.
Schools can be found in the area, as well as in the neighbouring communities.
