Monterey Park is a community in the North East quadrant of the city of Calgary.
The community development started in the mid 1980's with a California theme. (street names are all Californian)

The community is located just south of McKnight Boulevard NE and north of of 16th Avenue NE (TransCanada Highway), bordering on the eastern edge of the city.
The community is conveniently located near commercial and industrial areas.
The neighbourhood has great parks and playgrounds and is connected to the bike path system.
The LRT (Light Rail Transit) can be found in the neighbouring communities of either Whitehorn, Rundle or Marlborough, as it runs along 36th Street NE.
The Peter Lougheed Hospital is on the west side of 36th street NE, just west of the neighbourhood of Rundle.
Marlborough Mall is located in the south west corner of the community of Marlborough and Sunridge Mall is located a short distance away on 36th Street, just west of the community of Rundle.
Access to downtown is via McKnight Boulevard NE or by taking 68th Street NE to 16th Avenue NE (TransCanada Highway).
