Maple Ridge is a community in the South East area of the city of Calgary.
The community was developed in the mid 1960's and is comprised mainly of single family homes.
It is sandwiched between Southland Drive to the north and Anderson Road to the south. It's neighbour to the east is Willow Park.
Lots of outdoor recreational areas including parks, playgrounds and a golf course.
Shopping can be found in the neighbouring community at Willow Park Village, which is also where you can find the South Centre Mall. Chinook Mall is not too far away, just a short trip north on MacLeod Trail.
The neighbourhood is centrally located and provides easy access to downtown via Southland Drive to either MacLeod Trail, Blackfoot Trail or Deerfoot Trail.
The LRT (Light Rail Transit) station can be found on the west side of MacLeod Trail, on Southland Drive.
Many excellent schools can be found in this neighbourhood and surrounding communities.
