Lynnwood is a community in the South East quadrant of the city of Calgary.
Development started in the early 1970's. The community is also home to Millican and some individuals combine Ogden, Lynnwood and Millican. Ogden is south of these communities.
The neighbourhood consists of single family homes as well as town homes. The area east of the community is home to an industrial park.
Green spaces, parks and access to the bike pathway system are enjoyed by many inhabitants of the community. View of the Bow River and the mountains and downtown from some areas in the neighbourhood.
The community is home to the Beaver Dam Flats Park, the name obviously from Beaver Dams in the area. The park was created in the 1980's and families can enjoy hiking trails, picnics cross country skiing and more.
Shopping at the Chinook Centre is a short drive away.
Schools are found in the community and in neighbourhoods close by.
