Forest Heights is a community in the South East quadrant of the city of Calgary.
Development of the area started in the late 1950's and consists mainly of single family homes and town homes.
It is situated on the north side of 17th Avenue, also known as International Avenue, due to the diverse ethnicity of the shops and restaurants along this stretch of the avenue.
Along this route you can find restaurants or coffee shops with Vietnamese, African, Latino, Greek, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours.
Located east of the Deerfoot provides this community with quick access to downtown, the airport and to the mountains in Banff.
Shopping can obviously be found on 17th Avenue SE./International Avenue, but Marlborough Mall, is located just northeast of the community.
Schools can be found in the area, as well as in the neighbouring communities.
