Fairview is a community in the South East area of the city of Calgary.
The community was developed in the late 1950's with a mixture of both single family and multi-family homes.
The residential area of the community is more to the western part of the neighbourhood. While the eastern area is a mixture of industrial, commercial and retails space.
The community borders Bow River to the east and MacLeod Trail to the west. It is sandwiched between Heritage Drive to the South and Glenmore Trail to the north.
Beautiful tree lined streets with many parks and playgrounds.
Shopping can be found in the community as well as in the neighbouring communities of Acadia and Willow Park.
Both the Chinook Centre and South Centre Mall are in close proximity.
The neighbourhood is centrally located and provides easy access to downtown via MacLeod Trail or Blackfoot Trail.
The LRT (Light Rail Transit) station is close on hand and can be found on the west side of MacLeod Trail at Heritage Drive.
Many excellent schools can be found in the adjacent communities.
