Collingwood is a community in the North West quadrant of the city. Development of this community began in the late 1950's.
Most of the homes are single family bungalow type with large back yards. The homes have been maintained and upgraded over the years.
Without a doubt green spaces are everywhere in this neighbourhood. To the north of the community across from John Laurie Boulevard is Nose Hill Park. To the south there is the Confederation Park Golf Course as well as Canmore Park.
A smaller community located just south of John Laurie Boulevard in between 14th Street and 19th Street NW.
Shopping along 14th Street is available, but both the Market Mall Shopping Centre, on Shaganappi Trail or the North Hill Shopping Centre located on the south side of 16th Avenue NW (Highway one/TransCanada Highway)
Access to downtown is via 14th Street NW. Direct buses from 14th Street to downtown provide quick access to the core.
Close proximity to both the University of Calgary and SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
