The Calgary Zoo is the second largest Zoo in Canada with over 1,000 animals to visit.
It is conveniently located in the Bridgeland area of the city, slightly east of Downtown and beside the community of Inglewood.
Annual membership is available and certainly recommended. The membership is a cost savings to any family and allows you to visit as often as you like.
Whether you want to check out a specific "destination" and stay for a short visit or make a day of it.
There is plenty to see and do here. There are several exhibits including Canadian Wilds, Australia, South America and the Prehistoric Park.
There are many places to buy your lunch or you can bring one and enjoy it at the many picnic tables available on the grounds.
You will enjoy the gardens, the greenery and the river views. The park has over 70 acres for you to enjoy with the family.
Not to mention approximately 270 different species of animals.
There is always something happening at the Zoo. There are special events that everyone enjoys. Including, Breakfast with the Zookeepers, Teddy Bear Picnic, Boo at the Zoo, Zoolights (Nov – Jan) and many more.
