Calaway Park is located just outside of the western edge of the city. It's just south of the TransCanada Highway in the community of Springbank. On bright clear days there are gorgeous mountain views to enjoy.
It first opened in 1982 and is the largest amusement park in Western Canada.
There are over thirty rides to enjoy, including bumper boats and log rides for those who enjoy getting splashed.
Roller coasters, and rides that spin you round and round and some that even spin you upside down. Rides for toddlers and teens and those in between .
Plenty of entertainment, including daily stage shows that many children and adults enjoy. From time to time you may even bump into a clown.
You'll find the haunted house for all to get a scare. The fishing pond where many come to enjoy a relaxing time fishing and mini-putt for those who like golfing.
All this for one entry fee and parking is free. Also, season passes are available and definitely make it worthwhile, as many families enjoy the park several times during the season.
There are restaurants and picnic areas where families enjoy making a day of it at the park and bringing their lunches along.
A delicious candy shop and an incredible gift shop can be found close to the entrance/exit gates.
