Bridgeland is a community in the North East quadrant of the city of Calgary.
It is directly north east of downtown across from the Bow River and was developed in the early 1910's.
There is a bridge that connects the community to the down town core which makes it easier to walk to work while enjoying the river view.
Great inner city community with lots of shops and restaurants and excellent views of the downtown skyline and from some locations in the neighbourhood views of the mountains.
On the eastern edge of the community is Tom Campbell's Hill. This park is a well known off leash area with a paved pathway. From the top of the hill, breathtaking views of downtown and the mountains can be enjoyed.
On the southern edge of the community you can find both St. Patrick and St. George's Islands.
Both the Calgary Zoo and the Telus World of Science are located on St. George's Island.
Excellent bus service in the area with an LRT (Light Rail Transit) station on Memorial Drive near the Calgary Zoo.
Neighbouring community to the north is Renfrew.
Shopping can be found in the community, but lots of shopping in the city centre which is close proximity.
Schools can be found in the community and surrounding neighbourhoods.
