Banff Trail is a community in the North West quadrant of Calgary. Development of this community began in the early 1950's.
Most of the homes are single family bungalow type. The homes have been maintained and upgraded over the years. There are some newer infill type homes.
Lots of green spaces in this neighbourhood. To the north of the community is Canmore Park and just across from 19th Street is the Confederation Park Golf Course.
A smaller community located just north of 16th Avenue NW (Highway One/TransCanada Highway) neighbouring the communities of Capitol Hill and Charleswood.
Both Market Mall Shopping Centre, on Shaganappi Trail or the North Hill Shopping Centre located on the south side of 16th Avenue NW (Highway one/TransCanada Highway) are in close proximity.
Quick Access to downtown via Crowchild Trail. The LRT (Light Rail Transit) is also conveniently located in the community just east of Crowchild Trail NW for quick access to the core.
Close proximity to both the University of Calgary and SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology).
