Silver Springs is a community in the North West area of Calgary. Development of this community started in the early 1970's and consists mainly of single family homes with some town homes.
Located on the north bluff of the Bow River offers residents of this community many spectacular views.
Some of the homes enjoy these views as well, be it of the mountains, the river, COP (Canada Olympic Park), or the downtown sky line.
This community is conveniently located on the south side of Crowchild Trail in between Silver Springs Gate and Nose Hill Drive. Its neighbours include Scenic Acres, Varsity and Ranchlands. Bowness is located at the bottom of the bluffs.
The neighbourhood has many outdoor activities including an outdoor pool at the community center.
Many parks and green spaces can be found in the neighbourhood, and only a short distance to Bowmont Park.
Close proximity to a couple of different LRT (Light Rail Transit), being the one in the community of Dalhousie or the one at the Crowfoot Crossing Shopping Centre.
Access to downtown is convenient using Crowchild Trail.
Schools can be found in the community and neighbouring communities as well.
