Haysboro is a community in the South West quadrant of the city of Calgary.
Development started in the late 1950's. The neighbourhood was named after Harry Hays, who owned the land prior to it being developed and was Mayor of the city in the 1950's.
The community consists mainly of single family homes with some condos.
Lots of parks and playgrounds to enjoy with access to the bike pathway system. Ideally situated with Heritage Park to the east of 14th Street SW as well asthe Rockyview Hospital.
The Neighbourhood is bordered by 14th Street SW to the east, MacLeod Trail to the west, Heritage Drive to the north and Southland Drive to the south.
Neighbours include Chinook Park and Kingsland to the north, Pump Hill to the west divided by 14th Street SW. Southwood is the neighbouring community to the south and Acadia can be found to the east of the community separated by MacLeod Trail.
Excellent location due to quick access to the major routes that border the community. The LRT (Light Rail Transit) station of Heritage is found in the community in the north east corner at Heritage Drive and MacLeod Trail.
Again, due to the excellent location of the community, shopping is easily found, at Glenmore landing, on the west side of 14th Street, on Heritage Drive and Southland Drive.
As well as in the neigbouring communities to the east of Acadia and Fairview. Very close proximity to the Chinook Centre.
Schools are located in the area and neighbouring communities.
